Sabre Launches New Profile Management Solution for Travel Agency Community
SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sabre Travel Network today announced the upcoming launch of PowerPlus(TM) Profiles, its new profile management system for travel agencies around the world. The supremely configurable system – delivered free of charge to Sabre-connected agencies – is designed to efficiently serve the full range of the travel agency community, from small regional leisure agencies to multi-national corporate travel management companies.
PowerPlus Profiles uniquely meets the needs of two distinct groups: front line travel agents and agency management.
Front line travel agents gain efficiencies through PowerPlus Profiles' graphical user interface. The relational database structure enables storage and easy retrieval of detailed client information and preferences, helping speed service requests when travelers call to make bookings or change reservations.
New profile-related features, such as configurable templates, trip-type filters, linked profiles for travel companions, and priority notes, add speed to numerous everyday agent routines. These attributes also enable agencies to offer customized services for individual business and leisure travelers.
Agents who are highly proficient using native Sabre GDS formats can also utilize PowerPlus Profiles via an easy-to-use set of commands.
For agency management, the system’s web service, based on OTA standards, enables data integration into PowerPlus Profiles from existing agency or corporate client databases. The ability to establish defined viewership at the data element and user level provides superior data security. Future analytical tools will drive actionable business intelligence, arming executives with insight to more effectively manage supplier relationships and serve clients.
For business travel, PowerPlus Profiles dramatically improves the speed with which profile updates made in Sabre’s GetThere(R) corporate online booking solution are reflected in the Sabre GDS. New features eliminate the need for batch processing, making updates instantaneous and ensuring the most accurate data is available to travelers and travel arrangers booking online or offline.
Sabre worked closely with agency clients over the past year to meet their needs for a highly-efficient, customer-centric solution. Key features include:
- Relational database
- Available on agent desktop through GUI or native Sabre format commands
- Easy-to-use data upgrade utility to support transition from current profiles
- PNR linkage to profiles
- Web service enabled to support integration with other systems
Sabre Travel Network supports more than 55,000 travel agency locations worldwide. Sabre-connected agencies in North America, Latin America, and the United Kingdom will begin upgrading from the existing Sabre STARS profile system in mid-April. PowerPlus Profiles will be available in English, French and Spanish to support customers in launch markets; additional language versions will be released later in the year.
“At a time when travel agencies are squarely focused on operational efficiency and maintaining customer loyalty, PowerPlus Profiles uniquely enables them to provide highly personalized service while keeping costs in line,” said Greg Webb, chief marketing officer for Sabre Holdings. “Built upon the solid foundational technology that supports tens of millions of profiles used by Sabre-hosted airline clients, this transformational solution brings our enterprise-wide investment full circle. By delivering new profile management technology to supply and demand clients, Sabre extends its heritage of developing innovative technologies that benefit both travel buyers and sellers.”
