BAE Systems to Showcase Range of Capabilities at National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BAE Systems will showcase a range of capabilities for space and military customers at the National Space Symposium, April 11-14 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. From the development of new technologies, to operations, to the sustainment of equipment and facilities, BAE Systems provides customers with support throughout the full product life cycle. Current customers include the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Missile Defense Agency, the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and the U.S. Air Force Space Command.

NASA Programs
BAE Systems has been providing radiation-hardened products and system solutions to the space community since the early 1980s. We are the leading manufacturer of radiation-qualified, space-level semiconductor devices. Also, our team of nationally recognized scientists and engineers support NASA in fields including metallurgy, biology, chemistry, geology, materials science, and nuclear and mechanical engineering,
Radar Support
Since 1985, BAE Systems has been delivering a unique multiple-agency, multi-service and international program of logistics and technical support for more than 300 instrumentation radar systems for 25 test range customers worldwide. Field support representatives, supported by a central depot, provide various readiness and sustainment services to ensure these vitally important radars are available. For instance, BAE Systems provides operations and maintenance for Air Force assets such as the Solid State Phased Array Radar System (SSPARS), the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS), and the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance System (GEODSS) in support of missile warning and space surveillance missions.
Missile Defense
BAE Systems has long provided valued support to the Missile Defense Agency, as well as the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, and other space and missile defense organizations. For instance, BAE Systems led the development and production of the THAAD seeker, which provides homing and guidance data for the THAAD missile. We support the engineering and operations of several components of the Ballistic Missile Defense System, such as the Sea-based X-Band Radar and the Ground Based Midcourse Defense System. We also provide customers with analysis, integration, hardware design, flight test support, effects modelling and other capabilities.
