Seawings Commended for CSR in Increasing Computer Literacy

Seawings was honoured last Wednesday the 30th of November at the International Computer Driving License program (ICDL) GCC awards ceremony.
Held in recognition of the various stakeholders support towards the ICDL Summer Camp 2011, the event was attended by representatives from Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), the Ruler's Court of Sharjah, Dubai Aluminium Company and Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC).
Jamil Ezzo, Director General, ICDL GCC Foundation stated that the ICDL GCC Foundation was keen to host this awards ceremony in recognition of the efforts and support of the various organisations and governments in the region.
"We are committed to working together to further extend the reach of the summer camp next year, reflecting our common goal for the near future," he added.
Commercial Manager Prerna Fogat accepted the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award on behalf of Seawings. "It was a great honour for us to receive this accolade from the ICDL GCC Foundation. We were delighted at the opportunity to be part of this essential venture and we look forward to contributing to this cause in the future."
In support of the International Computer Driving License program (ICDL) GCC summer camps 2011, Seawings donated two vouchers of their most popular scenic seaplane tours. This exciting prize was awarded to a local female student from Ras Al Khaimah, much to her great joy and surprise.
Other recipients of the CSR award include ITP Publishing Group, Canon Middle East, Nokia, 3M Gulf, CompTIA Ltd., Brother International, HP Middle East, Microsoft Gulf, Wendy's, Dubai Dolphinarium, Dreamland Aqua Park, and Wild Wadi.
This is the first award Seawings has received for their efforts towards Corporate Social Responsibility.
