The Valence Group Further Expands Its Chemicals M&A Practice with the Addition of Maureen Cannon
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maureen Cannon will be joining The Valence Group’s New York office effective today.
“Maureen’s background is unique in spanning technology and business, corporate leadership and consulting, and thus will bring a highly complementary skill set to expand our existing advisory capabilities”
Maureen brings over 30 years of experience from a career spanning Eastman Chemical, where she focused on chemicals strategy; McKinsey, where she was a senior consultant in the chemicals practice; and Monsanto where she held senior roles in R&D and business management.
Her M&A expertise in the chemical industry includes business acquisition and divestiture, technology licensing and valuation, and post-merger integration. She also brings a global perspective, having worked in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, M.S. in Materials (Polymer) Engineering, and an M.B.A. from Duke University.
Telly Zachariades, Partner, said: “The addition to our team of such an experienced professional further bolsters our truly differentiated M&A advisory service which is based on deep expertise in the chemicals and materials sector. Our clients will continue to benefit from well-rounded, industry-based M&A experience gleaned from the investment banking, industrial and strategic consulting worlds”.
Anton Ticktin, Director, said: “Maureen’s background is unique in spanning technology and business, corporate leadership and consulting, and thus will bring a highly complementary skill set to expand our existing advisory capabilities”.
Brendan Cummins, Senior Executive, added: “As a former CEO and user of investment banking M&A services, I have often been disappointed by the superficial nature of the sector ‘expertise’ that the so-called industry teams of many investment banks offer. As Valence’s clients evaluate and execute acquisitions and divestitures, they will benefit from our ability to draw on the expertise of chemicals specialists with multiple perspectives and years of experience in our industry.”
