TTTech Introduces High-Speed 20 Mbit/s TTP Product Line Compliant to SAE AS6003 Standard
VIENNA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TTTech, the leading supplier of dependable networking solutions based on time-triggered technology and modular safety platforms, announces the availability of a high-speed 20 Mbit/s TTP product line compliant to SAE AS6003 standard. TTTech has combined the existing and mature TTP controller with a faster RS-485 physical layer to build high-speed TTP integrated product solutions. High-speed TTP is already baselined in multiple aircraft programs entering into service in the next years.
“Based on proven mature DO-160, Level 5, physical layer technology that is already used in fly-by-wire systems, we have developed a high-speed TTP product line that extends the bandwidth capabilities of TTP. We have aligned the new product line with our customers’ needs and have already won multiple programs”
TTP (SAE AS6003) has been successfully utilized in commercial cross-industry applications since 2001, including FADEC, electric power system, environmental control, and fly-by wire systems of premier aircrafts such as the Boeing 787, Airbus A380, Embraer 450/500 and Bombardier CSeries.
With an advanced physical layer based on a star topology, TTP controllers support communication at 20 Mbit/s and effectively fill the gap between 100 Mbit/s avionics Ethernet networks and existing avionics fieldbuses. Furthermore, TTTech has developed DO-254 middleware layer to allow easy migration from previous databuses to TTP-based systems - thus providing a highly modular and scalable architecture.
“Based on proven mature DO-160, Level 5, physical layer technology that is already used in fly-by-wire systems, we have developed a high-speed TTP product line that extends the bandwidth capabilities of TTP. We have aligned the new product line with our customers’ needs and have already won multiple programs”, says Reinhard Maier, Director of Product Management at TTTech.
TTP (SAE AS6003) technology and TTTech TTP products simplify system design of reusable embedded platforms and advanced integrated systems that are easier to integrate, test and upgrade.
Due to strictly deterministic communication and data efficiency, TTTech TTP products provide up to 5 times more bandwidth in comparison to existing solutions. Deterministic TTP (SAE AS6003) networks are designed for safety-critical by-wire applications in more electric aircraft, and offer strictly deterministic communication with µs-jitter and fixed latency.
Also for high-speed TTP - TTTech offers a full integrated development, testing and V&V environment to reduce costs, shorten time to market and support certification according to DO-178B and DO-254 DAL A.
