Apriso Announces 2011 Revenue Growth and Business Activity
LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apriso, a leading provider of manufacturing software solutions, today announced 2011 revenue grew by 34 percent on a year-over-year basis, a new record for the company. Total revenue has grown every year since 2005, at a compounded annual growth rate of 24 percent. Software revenue grew at a compounded annual growth rate of 34 percent over the same seven year period. Software revenue grew by 25 percent year-over-year, balanced across targeted verticals, including Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Consumer Goods, Industrial Equipment, Packaging and High Tech.
“Apriso has established itself as the industry leading provider of global solutions for manufacturing operations management, as evidenced by our revenue growth rate that has doubled the industry. Customer satisfaction remains at an all-time high. Our customers continue to expand their Apriso footprint to further reduce costs, expand continuous improvement and increase flexibility to respond quickly to change,” stated Jim Henderson, president and CEO of Apriso.
Enterprise Decisions
2011 revenue was driven by global manufacturers making or expanding their enterprise commitment to Apriso. Sixty percent of the new customers in the year made an enterprise decision for Apriso, highlighted by Safran that publicly announced their enterprise commitment to Apriso in July 2011. In addition, revenue growth was driven by continued roll-outs and software expansion at over 100 different manufacturing clients, the majority having already made an enterprise decision for Apriso in earlier years.
“The Apriso business model is different from a traditional Manufacturing Execution System (MES) company. MES has historically been sold plant by plant. At Apriso, we help manufacturers to strategically leverage a platform for manufacturing operations that works across plants, even if they elect to implement only a single site initially. Apriso’s speed in deployment and unique product capabilities make us the natural choice for global, multi-site manufacturers. Our consistent growth and the number of customer sites that have gone live with FlexNet are directly attributable to this differentiated approach to MES,” continued Henderson.
Customer Activity
During 2011, a total of 53 customer sites went live with a new FlexNet application, a 20 percent increase over 2010 activity. Apriso’s FlexNet is now live in 44 countries, including new sites at three new countries in 2011. During the fourth quarter of 2011, Volvo CE won the National Productivity Awards, one of the most prestigious manufacturing awards in Korea. This award highlights Volvo CE’s exemplary productivity improvements, contributed in part to Volvo CE’s FlexNet deployment. Read more about these awards here: http://qr.net/g9zy.
Product Announcements
Apriso announced FlexNet Manufacturing Process Intelligence in 2011, an application that provides manufacturing intelligence for advanced decision support, based on real-time visibility into manufacturing operations. Apriso customers are now actively implementing this product delivering real-time visibility into a wide scope of their manufacturing activity.
A new solution for Global Trace and Genealogy was announced in the fourth quarter of 2011. This software and services solution includes a global repository for detailed product traceability and genealogy data, enabling manufacturers to better track detailed processes and activity spanning from manufacturing operations to product supply networks. Manufacturers in the consumer goods, aerospace and defense and life sciences industries can recognize immediate value by improving visibility and accuracy of their product genealogies.
