Cathay Pacific Appoints Sebastien Granier as Sales Director, Eastern USA
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cathay Pacific Airways has appointed Sebastien Granier to Sales Director, Eastern USA. Granier will be responsible for managing the sales territory in the East Coast including New York, Washington D.C. and Atlanta for the airline and will be based in New York city.

A 22-year veteran of the commercial aviation industry, Granier started his airline career 1990 with Air France’s Reservation Sales in New York. Over the next 6 years, he held several positions at the airline’s Rate Desk, Automation department, and Passenger Sales. In 1995, Granier joined Amadeus as a GDS Conversion Sales executive, followed by a promotion to Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions, and later Manager of Franchise and Consortia. In 2002, he returned to Air France as District Sales Manager for the Northeast Region, responsible for teams in Boston and the New York Tri-State area. In 2009, as the joint venture with Delta Air Lines evolved, Granier’s sales responsibilities increased to Delta, Air France, KLM, and Alitalia Sales in New York, where he managed a mixed team of sales account executives from joint venture airlines. Granier earned a degree from the Institut Universitaire de Technology in Business Management at Montpellier, France.

Cathay Pacific currently operates four daily flights from New York JFK to Hong Kong, three of them nonstop to Hong Kong and one direct via Vancouver, Canada. The flights are operated on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with the new business class cabins which were introduced in the fall of 2011.
