iBASEt’s Solumina MES selected by BAE Systems
FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BAE Systems, Electronic Systems headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire, selected iBASEt, the leading provider of shop floor software solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, to standardize its manufacturing systems across its operations. iBASEt’s Solumina manufacturing execution solution will be deployed across multiple facilities throughout the United States.
“Implementing common factory information and tracking system that would harmonize multiple facilities was paramount to us in this selection”
This extensive harmonization effort will establish consistent work instructions and streamline the transfer of work between facilities, improving the overall efficiency of BAE Systems. BAE Systems products span the commercial and defense electronics markets, including mission-critical electronic systems; flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; electronic imaging components; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure network-communications equipment; and power and energy-management systems.
“Implementing common factory information and tracking system that would harmonize multiple facilities was paramount to us in this selection,” said Steve Rubenfeld, program manager at BAE Systems. “Solumina will help us manufacture our products more effectively and improve the delivery of products and services to our customers.”
BAE Systems chose Solumina after an evaluation of nine competing approaches.
“Solumina’s out-of-the-box features will synchronize BAE Systems facilities quickly and proficiently,” said Michel Gadbois, iBASEt’s vice president of Worldwide Sales & Marketing. “Linking operations, quality and engineering around a common process and quality definition is what sets Solumina apart from the rest.”
