Interface Displays & Controls Issued National Stock Number (NSN) 6220-01-600-2435 For Their Anti-Collision Beacon Light
OCEANSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Interface Displays & Controls, Inc. (Interface), a veteran-owned small business, has been issued NSN 6220-01-600-2435 for their F-5 / T-38 Anti-Collision Beacon Light (ACBL).
“The use of LED technology provides higher reliability at a more competitive price, and makes this the next generation of aviation lighting”
The ACBL is a form, fit, and function replacement for the current, low-reliability, rotating beacon light on the F-5 and T-38 aircrafts. Consisting of four LED light arrays with a programmable flash rate, there are no moving parts to wear out. The result is a much-improved MTBF of over 25,000 hours. (Mean Time Between Failures; the average frequency with which a product fails.)
“The use of LED technology provides higher reliability at a more competitive price, and makes this the next generation of aviation lighting,” said Bill Lang, President and CEO.
About National Stock Number (NSN)
A National Stock Number (NSN), as it is known in the US, or a NATO Stock Number, is a 13-digit numeric code identifying all the “standardized material items of supply” as they have been recognized by all NATO countries including the US Department of Defense. An item having an NSN is said to be “stock-listed,” which expedites the purchase process.
