MISUMI USA to Feature Automotive Style Locating Pins at ATX West
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (Tokyo: 9962), announces that one highlight of its exhibit at the 2012 Automation Technology Expo West (Booth #4121), will be its comprehensive line of automotive style Locating Pins and Holders.
A key part of MISUMI’s locating components portfolio, the automotive style Locating Pins are designed specifically to conform to standards established by the North American Automotive Manufacturing Society (NAAMS). The pins are widely used by leading automotive OEMs and their top tier suppliers in the design of automotive production machines, jigs and fixtures. They are also used in a host of other industries in applications involving automated assembly of industrial machinery and equipment.
A sampling of fully configurable, automotive style Locating Pins and Holders to be displayed at the MISUMI booth includes:
- Flanged Bullet Nose Locating Pins
- Large Head Bullet Nose Locating Pins
- Retaining Block Pin Holders for use with standard NAAMS retaining blocks
- Large Head Cylinder Pins
- Small Head Cylinder Pins

The back of the Pins and Holders measures a standard 16mm in diameter and 24mm in length, to match NAAMS pin design. Depending on the style selected, the head diameters of the automotive style pins range from 6mm to 32mm, configurable in 0.1mm increments, with maximum head working length of 30mm. The pin holders range in height from 42mm to 170mm, and are configurable in 1mm increments.
