AECOM awarded task order worth up to US$289 million to support U.S. Army Central Command in Southwest Asia and the Middle East

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private sector clients in more than 130 countries around the world, announced today that it has won a task order from the U.S. Air Force for Contract Field Teams (CFT) valued at $289.2 million over a 34-month duration, if all performance periods and options are exercised.
The CFT contract is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Army Central Command to supplement its aviation-support facilities with full-time maintenance services.
Under this task order, which begins on May 1, 2012, more than 1,000 new AECOM employees will provide maintenance support for a wide variety of aircraft at multiple locations throughout Southwest Asia and the Middle East.
CFT IDIQ task orders awarded to AECOM to date total approximately $665 million, and include assignments in California, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Kansas, Guam, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Egypt. The CFT program, which has a maximum value of $10.12 billion over a seven-year period through 2015, provides major and minor inspections, maintenance, modifications and repairs of aircraft and ground vehicles at government locations around the world.
