Eyelit Inc. Announces Record-High Fourth-quarter Revenue and Rapid New Customer Growth in 2011
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced today its impressive results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year of 2011.
“Eyelit’s record fourth quarter revenue bodes well for 2012. The dramatic increase in new accounts signals a resurgence of investment by our target industries, despite the slowdown in solar”
Business Results
The privately held company was profitable again in 2011 due to a new record high in fourth quarter revenue. New customer sales doubled in 2011 over 2010; 50% of the new customers are large multinational corporations with revenues exceeding $1 billion USD. Eyelit’s software was deployed at greenfield plants and at sites with other MES or legacy systems. The replacement of legacy software has become a trend as companies increasingly need a more advanced solution to lower their infrastructure and internal support costs. 25% of the new customers were using Applied Materials MES applications in existing facilities, including a Fortune 100 company now converting to Eyelit MES from WorkStream MES.
Eyelit also expanded regionally and across target industry segments. Customers this year span multiple industries including semiconductor, fabless semiconductor, solar, aerospace & defense, MEMS and optoelectronics. Eyelit deployed in India and England for the first time, and now operates in 16 countries across 5 continents. To keep up with the demand, Eyelit added staff in its Services, Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Marketing departments, and forged a new partnership in Europe to further accelerate its global expansion.
Product Portfolio
Eyelit delivered a number of customer-driven product enhancements in 2011. New modules and upgrades will be available for general release with Eyelit MES™ version 5. Business Intelligence was a key focus; Eyelit Intelligence™ data transformation capabilities were enhanced for optimized reporting and the Eyelit Mobile Web Portal™ was developed for “anywhere access” to Eyelit Executive Dashboards™. The new Eyelit Automated Data Services™ module will enable end-users to configure interfaces without relying on IT staff, and will dramatically lower integration time and costs. Virtual manufacturing control and visibility are enhanced with interplant transfers of process technology, WIP, and history through Eyelit Multi-Factory™. The Eyelit Special Processing™ module simplifies ad-hoc processing and experimentation to accelerate R&D and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
“Eyelit’s record fourth quarter revenue bodes well for 2012. The dramatic increase in new accounts signals a resurgence of investment by our target industries, despite the slowdown in solar,” stated Dan Estrada, Eyelit’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “Our rapid growth is in part due to manufacturers recognizing the risk of implementing or continuing to run legacy systems that use dated software and hardware that have neared or reached the end of their lifecycles. Our expanding product portfolio provides the state-of-the-art technology that companies can rely on to establish their next-generation corporate baseline. Eyelit has already successfully migrated a number of companies from legacy systems with a proven, safe, and secure migration solution.”
