QuEST Global Opens UK Head Office Following Acquisition of Engineering Services Business from GKN
FILTON, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--QuEST Global Engineering, a leading pure play engineering services provider, today announced the opening of their new UK head office in a prestigious location in the heart of the South West’s Aerospace industry. The facility, located at the Brabazon Office Park, will support QuEST’s growing local customer base that includes major players such as Airbus, GKN Aerospace, BAE SYSTEMS, Thales and Rolls Royce. This move is also consistent with the company’s plans to reach out to new customers in the UK in Aerospace, Defence, Energy and other neighbouring industrial markets.
The entire QuEST global leadership team and key customers were present at the occasion showcasing their commitment towards creating and growing the company’s presence in the area and towards bringing value to its customers with its unique Local/Global support model.
Commenting on the occasion Mr. Ajit Prabhu, CEO QuEST Global, said, “Following the acquisition of Engineering Services from GKN Aerospace last year, this is our first step in formalising and making concrete our focus for the European market. Through this centre we will be able to extend our global delivery model to our customers in this market while ensuring high quality services at optimised costs in aerospace and defence”.
The Filton facility is significant for QuEST as it augments its existing five sites in the UK by paving the way for more opportunities in this fast growing global business sector. This move also promises to immensely benefit interested engineers and graduates from the region towards career enhancement and knowledge development. The company presently employs over 200 engineers in the UK and is planning to double it in this year. Currently there are over 100 positions that will be filled over the next two months.
In what is seen as another commendable initiative, QuEST has partnered with the Department of Environment and Community Services of South Gloucestershire Council to increase the provision of bike storage for its employees as part of the company’s drive to reduce traffic and increase environmental awareness.
“QuEST, as a part of its global expansion strategy and Local/Global model, believes in retaining and expanding local talent in every market that it operates in. We will be growing our existing operations in the UK organically through inclusive growth as well as be on the lookout for strategic partnerships to extend our service excellence for customers further. As a responsible corporate we are also driving various eco-friendly initiatives with the support of our employees in the region”, Mr. Prabhu added.
