Sparton Corporation Recognized as Key Partner to Goodrich Corporation’s Threat Detection Program

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sparton Corporation (NYSE: SPA) today announced that it has been recognized as a key partner to Goodrich Corporation’s AN/AVR-2B(V) threat detection program.

Sparton participated at a special event in December 2011 in Danbury, Conn. to celebrate the delivery of the 1,000th AN/AVR-2B(V) laser detecting set to the United States Army. Special guests included Brigadier General Harold J. Greene, Program Executive Officer – Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S), U.S. Army; Colonel John Leaphart, Project Manager – Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), U.S. Army; and Dannel P. Malloy, Governor of the State of Connecticut.
The event recognized the accomplishments of all Goodrich employees and their key supplier partners, including Sparton, who were involved in the threat detection business at Danbury in support of the delivery of the 1,000th AN/AVR-2B(V) laser detecting set. The event also celebrated 51 consecutive months of on-time delivery of laser warning detection sets to the U.S. Army.
