Turkish Airlines Transforms Air Travel with Gourmet Cuisine, In-flight Luxury and Exceptional Service
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At a time when airlines are scaling back their service and charging extra costs to customers, Turkish Airlines, recently selected Europe’s Best Airline by the world’s largest airline review site, Skytrax, is changing the face of air travel. Travelers can now fly from the U.S. to 190 destinations around the globe via Istanbul while enjoying standard-setting service and gourmet cuisine with one of the youngest fleets in the airline industry.
“From our award-winning five star gourmet cuisine and our world class in-flight entertainment to our impeccable service, Turkish Airlines sets a new standard in air travel that is rare in the industry.”
A member of the Star Alliance since April of 2008, Turkish Airlines is a global leader in in-flight comfort and innovation. Passengers who board a Turkish Airlines flight will be pleasantly surprised by luxury accommodations and on board amenities offered in any of the three cabin options (Economy, Comfort or Business Class). A personal care kit is provided in all classes while gourmet in-flight menu choices on board offer passengers top-tier restaurant quality cuisine and experience in the sky. Besides the Turkish gastronomy, the airline carries out its international cuisine with “Flying Chef” service in its Business Class on long haul trans-oceanic flights. The airline also recently launched high-speed Wi-Fi broadband Internet access and Live TV on Trans-Atlantic flights from New York and Los Angeles.
“We are committed to transforming airline travel into a memorable experience from the moment they board our planes until they reach their final destination, regardless of whether they are sitting in Economy, Comfort or Business Class,” said Turkish Airlines General Manager, Dr. Temel Kotil. “From our award-winning five star gourmet cuisine and our world class in-flight entertainment to our impeccable service, Turkish Airlines sets a new standard in air travel that is rare in the industry.”
For over 78 years, Turkish Airlines has prided itself on providing the best in-flight passenger service, quality, safety and reliability. In addition to being named “Europe’s Best Airline,” Skytrax also honored the airline with other prestigious awards including “Best Premium Economy Seats” for its Comfort Class seats and “Best Airline Southern Europe.” Turkish Airlines also beat out 18 other airlines around the world and was chosen by passengers as the best provider of in-flight food in a poll done by flight comparison site, Skyscanner.
In an effort to accommodate its rapid global expansion, Turkish Airlines is committed to adding 19 new airplanes in 2012, along with new routes and destinations. In addition to Europe, Turkish Airlines has strategically expanded into Russia, Central Asia, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa and The Americas. The airline recently announced new Balkan routes and continues to expand service from its U.S. gateways of Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. - all of which offer non-stop flights to the airline’s Istanbul hub with convenient onward connections.
