SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Timothy Day, Chairman and CEO of Daylight Solutions, Inc. (Daylight) has been invited to speak at the SPIE sponsored U.S. House of Representatives Research & Development Caucus, to be held on April 17, 2012. SPIE is the recognized International Society for Optics and Photonics. The event will focus on Next Generation Job Creation and Sensing Technologies for Manufacturing, Medicine and Environmental Safety with a focus on innovators who have successfully brought new products to market. Dr. Day will describe the business model employed by Daylight that has resulted in the effective transition of new technologies from the laboratory into commercial applications - developing mid-infrared products for multiple defense, medical and industrial sensing applications.
