Sparton Introduces Innovative New Application for the GEDC-6 Gyro-Enhanced Digital Compass
Dépèche transmise le 4 avril 2012 par Business Wire
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sparton Corporation (NYSE: SPA) announced that its Navigation and Exploration segment has introduced the cutting-edge Adaptnavinit.4th NorthTek™ application that augments its gyro-enhanced digital compass, the GEDC-6.
“This advanced feature further differentiates our digital compass line from others”
Sparton continues to meet the technical needs of the demanding navigation sensor market by delivering the Adaptnavinit feature enhancement for the GEDC-6. This application was developed to deliver optimal results under varying environmental conditions. Adaptnavinit compensates for magnetic material interference and other noisy environments created by batteries, electric motors and current carrying wires. Adaptnavinit allows users operating in noisy environments to compensate for these effects by eliminating digital compass integration errors in heading (yaw), pitch, and roll which appear to the user as heading output drift.
“This advanced feature further differentiates our digital compass line from others,” commented Jim Lackemacher, VP/GM of Sparton’s Defense & Security Systems business unit. “By quickly reacting to our customer’s needs, we have been able to enhance the GEDC-6 product in advance of our next product, the AHRS-8, which will be released later this year. We value the partnerships with our customers and will continue to invest in the development of cutting-edge technology now and into the future.”
