Tourism Queensland Invites World’s Best Bloggers Down Under
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tourism Queensland today announced its partnership with Australia’s number one blogger, Darren Rowse, for the ‘Queensland Blogger Correspondent’ competition which invites bloggers to experience the Great Barrier Reef. Experiencing the unforgettable, unique-to-Queensland, world-class tourism adventures first hand, ten lucky bloggers from around the globe world will be selected to win a five-day trip to THE Natural Wonder of the World with Rowse, who writes problogger.net and digital-photography-school.com.
“It will be a tough gig for the successful bloggers tasked with spending a few hours blogging on a tropical island or under the canopy of the world’s oldest rainforest daily”
“It will be a tough gig for the successful bloggers tasked with spending a few hours blogging on a tropical island or under the canopy of the world’s oldest rainforest daily,” said Anthony Hayes, Tourism Queensland CEO. “Not only is Darren an influential social media writer, but he’s also an Aussie who is passionate about Queensland and wants to showcase our region to the world.”
Rowse issued the call out today, inviting fellow bloggers from his global reader base of more than five million to compete for such an exciting and unique opportunity. Entering is simple; interested bloggers aged 18 and older need only to submit 150 words on what makes them the ideal ‘Queensland Blogger Correspondent’ at problogger.net, paired with details on their own blog. The 10 winners will travel to Queensland in June 2012 , receive a five-day, all-expenses paid trip including economy-class airfare, accommodations, excursions to some of Queensland’s bucket-list attractions like the Great Barrier Reef, meals and two close-encounter workshops with Rowse.
“The best way to spread the word about Queensland is to invite other bloggers to experience it for themselves,” Rowse said. “I’m ecstatic that this competition will inspire bloggers to promote Queensland to their expansive networks sharing their fabulous first-hand stories, photos and videos.”
