GE Healthcare today announced that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected GE Healthcare’s Vivid™ q Cardiovascular Ultrasound system for delivery to the International Space Station (ISS) on its final space shuttle flight. The Vivid q will be launched on the space shuttle Atlantis, scheduled to launch on July 8, 2011.

US Airways Group, Inc. today announced June, quarter and year-to-date 2011 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 5.7 billion, up 2.5 percent versus June 2010. Mainline capacity was 6.6 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 2.3 percent versus June 2010. Mainline passenger load factor was an all-time record 87.1 percent, up 0.2 points versus June 2010.

In March 2008, Spirit and CPI Aero entered into a long term agreement to provide Spirit with leading edges for the wing of the Gulfstream G650 business jet. Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary traffic results for June 2011. Frontier’s traffic decreased 1%, to 1.2 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) while capacity was also down 1%, at 1.3 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Frontier Airlines served 1.4 million passengers in June, a 1% decrease from June 2010. June’s load factor was 90% and remained unchanged compared to the same month last year.

Republic Airways Holdings , today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for June 2011. The Company generated 1.9 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 3% decrease from the same month last year, while capacity remained unchanged at 2.3 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 81,827 in June 2011, a decrease of 2% from June 2010. Consolidated load factor was 84% versus 86% in June 2010. Nearly 2.9 million passengers were carried during the month, a 4% reduction from the same month last year.
