National Air Cargo today announced that it will extend its weekly DC 8 cargo aircraft from its subsidiary company based in Ypsilanti, MI to Kandahar Air Base via Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. The extended flight will assist ongoing efforts to provide materials and goods to the United States military in Afghanistan. National Air Cargo began the flight to Bagram in April 2009.

La frequentation au niveau du groupe a baisse de 5,8 pour cent par rapport a l'annee derniere, tandis que l'Aeroport de Francfort (FRA) enregistrait 8 pour cent de passagers en moins dans sa base. Ajuste pour un resultat consolide, le chiffre d'affaire du Groupe a diminue de 2,2 pour cent par rapport a l'annee precedente a 941,2 millions EUR ; le BAIIDA (le resultat avant interets, impots et dotation aux amortissements) a chute de 10,5 pour cent compare a la meme periode l'an dernier a 255,4 millions EUR. Group-wide passenger traffic in the first half of 2009 dropped 5.8 percent year-on-year, while the Frankfurt Airport (FRA) home base registered 8 percent fewer passengers. Adjusted for consolidation effects, Group revenue slipped 2.2 percent year-on-year to EUR941.2 million; EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) fell 10.5 percent compared to the same period last year to EUR255.4 million. Group profit continued to be positive, too, reaching EUR70.1 million. However, this was 31.1 percent less than in the January-to-June 2008 period, before the global regression set in.
