Breeze-Eastern Corporation today reported that net income for the 2010 fiscal first quarter was $358 thousand versus $765 thousand in the same prior year period, a decrease of 53% or $.04 per diluted share compared to $.08 in the same period last year. Operating income for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 decreased 43% to $1.0 million from $1.8 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2009. Sales of $13.4 million in the first fiscal quarter of 2010 represented a decrease of 4% compared to the $14.0 million in the same period in the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA, as described under “Non-GAAP Financial Measures” in this press release, for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 decreased 34% to $1.4 million from $2.1 million in the same prior year period. New orders received during the 2010 fiscal first quarter were $15.6 million compared to $23.0 million in the 2009 fiscal first quarter. The Company’s book-to-bill ratio for the fiscal 2010 first quarter was 1.2 compared with 1.6 for last year’s fiscal first quarter.

US Airways Group, Inc. today reported its second quarter 2009 results. For the second quarter, the Company reported a net profit of $58 million, or $0.42 per diluted share. This compares to a net loss of $568 million, or ($6.17) per share for the same period last year.
