MyUS.Com Signs 3-year International Shipping Agreement with DHL
PLANTATION, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MyUS.com, the leader in global packaging and mail forwarding services, today announced it has awarded DHL, the world’s leading express and delivery company, a 3-year international express shipping contract. Over the last decade MyUS.com’s partnership with DHL has enabled shoppers outside the U.S. to order products from virtually any U.S. Internet retailer. Since its inception, MyUS.com has achieved double and triple-digit year-over-year revenue growth.
The Internet has made a substantial contribution to facilitating the purchase of American goods from wherever one can access a computer; and MyUS.com’s partnership with DHL has helped facilitate trade and bring U.S. products to the global marketplace. MyUS.com receives packages on behalf of international purchasers and then consolidates the merchandise, repacks and ships the merchandise to its customers overseas via DHL’s International Express services.
“DHL’s knowledge of local customs, great coverage wherever our customers are located in the world, and reliable door-to-door delivery has helped us maintain the highest level of customer service and the best reputation in the industry,” said Robert Chodock, Chief Marketing Officer at MyUS.com.
How it works
An internet shopper outside the U.S. who registers with MyUS.com is supplied with a unique address at the company’s distribution center in Bradenton, Florida. After selecting and purchasing merchandise at a US retailer’s website, the shopper enters the unique shipping address at the retailer’s “checkout.” When the shipment arrives in Bradenton, it is properly prepared for international shipping. Once the shipment leaves MyUS.com’s facility, DHL notifies the purchaser by email with the tracking number for monitoring. The shipment is delivered within 1 – 4 days.
Within the last year, MyUS.com has experienced a substantial increase in usage of its services worldwide, including customers in Brazil, France, Greece, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Australia and the U.K.
“More and more American businesses are beginning to find revenue growth opportunities by reaching customers beyond their borders and traditional markets. These new opportunities require strong partnerships that address the complexities and requirements of global transportation,” said Harley Ebert, Vice President of Field Sales and Regional Sales Director, DHL Express. “As a specialist in international shipping, DHL is the perfect partner to help MyUS.com bring U.S. products to global markets quickly and reliably through the strongest global express transportation network in the industry.”
In February, 2009, MyUS.com was named 2009 Exporter of the Year, Business Services by ThinkGlobal Inc., publisher of Commercial News USA, the official export promotion magazine of the U.S. Commerce Department.
