INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for March 2009. The company generated 871.8 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 0.3% decrease from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 3.9%. Block hours were 62,707 in March 2009, a 4.2% decrease from March 2008. Load factor was 73.6% versus 76.7% in March 2008. A total of 1,706,837 passengers were carried during the month, a 1.9% increase from the same month last year.
