Sentient Flight Group to Sponsor Breeders’ Cup 2009 “Sentient Perfect Trip” Award
WEYMOUTH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sentient Flight Group, one of the leading private aviation companies in the United States, in coordination with the Breeders' Cup, announced today that it will once again sponsor the “Sentient Perfect Trip” Award for 2009. This celebrates Sentient’s return as a premier partner and the “Official Private Aviation Sponsor” of the Breeders’ Cup for a second year.
For this year’s award, as well as for the awards for future years, Sentient will recognize the race that most personifies the “perfect trip” among this year’s Breeders’ Cup Challenge domestic races which consists of more than 50 stakes races to be run from the July through October. The Perfect Trip winner will be awarded a special prize and will be recognized at the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., scheduled for November 6th through the 7th. Additional award details will be released in June to kick off the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Challenge series.

Last year, in celebration of the 25th running of the Breeders' Cup World Championships, Sentient and Breeders' Cup launched the 'Sentient Perfect Trip' Award to offer Thoroughbred racing fans the chance to vote on their favorite winning moment from Breeders' Cup history. Out of ten 'perfect trips' nominated by a panel of experts, thousands of fans logged on to view footage of each trip and vote for their favorite. With over 16,000 votes, Cardmania's win in the 1993 Breeders' Cup Sprint was named the winner of the 2008 'Perfect Trip' Award.
