Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew Launches on easyJet Airline Across Selected Routes in United Kingdom and Spain

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) announced today that customers of easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, will be able to purchase Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew on flights out of U.K. Newcastle, Stansted, Gatwick airports, as well as, Madrid airport, beginning May 1.

For the first time, easyJet customers will be able to purchase a great cup of Starbucks coffee while truly on-the-go. Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew is naturally-roasted coffee, with no by-products giving coffee lovers the rich flavor they expect from brewed Starbucks coffee, in an instant. The convenient packet of instant and micro-ground beans makes coffee on-the-go a simple and delicious experience. Starbucks VIA™ is Shared Planet™ verified, meaning that the coffee comes from farmers and suppliers who follow the company’s exacting sourcing guidelines.

Portioned into single-serve packets, Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew is available in two flavors – bold, nutty Columbia and smooth, rich Italian Roast. The Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew ritual is simple. Tear the sachet. Add the contents to a cup, and then add hot (or cold) water. Stir and Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew is ready in an instant. The perfect choice for a quality cup of coffee while traveling. easyJet is the first location outside of Starbucks stores in UK where VIA™ Ready Brew is available.

In the U.S. Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew is available in Illinois and Seattle-area Starbucks stores and available for national distribution by ordering at StarbucksVia.com (U.S. shipment only). It is also available at Costco and Target stores in Seattle and Illinois.

Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew, will be priced at £2.10 on easyJet flights (approximately US $3). Tazo teas (English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Refresh and Passion varieties) will be priced at £2.00 (approximately US $2.95).
