Dépèche transmise le 15 mai 2009 par Business Wire
TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rapiscan Systems, Inc., a leading global supplier of security inspection systems, announced today the launch of its MetorNet 3 Pro Web Software System, a web-based version of Rapiscan’s successful MetorNet security management software that allows for the efficient management and monitoring of multiple walk-through metal detectors. MetorNet 3 Pro Web brings new capabilities to the MetorNet security management product, which has been deployed in airports as well as other locations worldwide. The system’s web-enabled, Microsoft Windows-compatible software enables remote monitoring, data collection and inspection data processing via a screener’s Internet browser and computer. In addition to providing complete remote management of the metal detectors, MetorNet 3 Pro Web streamlines security operations by allowing customers to efficiently manage multiple checkpoints from a central location.
MetorNet 3 Pro Web is ideally suited for airports, courts, prisons, government and industrial facilities, special events and amusement park installations, where efficiency and effectiveness are especially important. Key features include statistics collection, passenger flow monitoring (to allow for better resource allocation) and built-in security maintenance features to indicate any misuse of or malfunctions with the metal detector. The MetorNet 3 Pro Web system also includes built-in integration features so that up to 255 metal detectors can be connected to one network in a cost effective manner.
Rapiscan Systems President, Ajay Mehra, stated, “The launch of MetorNet 3 Pro Web demonstrates Rapiscan’s technology leadership in walk through metal detectors. In today’s challenging security and economic environment, customers want solutions that provide them more intelligence and more operational efficiency. With its advanced networking and remote management capabilities, the MetorNet 3 Pro Web not only improves security, but it helps customers manage their security resources more effectively.”
