INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2009. The company generated 850.0 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 2.8% decrease from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 2.0%. Block hours were 59,464 in April 2009, an 8.4% decrease from April 2008. Load factor was 75.3% versus 75.9% in April 2008. A total of 1,686,742 passengers were carried during the month, a 0.9% increase from the same month last year.
