Varolii Named a Finalist for 2009 Mitx Technology Awards
Dépèche transmise le 28 mai 2009 par Business Wire
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Varolii Corporation, the market and technology leader in proactive outbound communications, today announced it has been named a finalist in the 6th Annual MITX Technology Awards. Honoring the company’s new Flight Team Management application, the MITX Technology Awards recognize emergent and innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements.
Varolii Flight Team Management is a new software-as-a-service application that helps airlines eliminate some of the logistical issues that lead to major flight delays or cancellations. Some of the nation’s top airlines are using it to send interactive, automated communications to flight operations employees – including pilots, flight attendants, ground crews and maintenance staff – to gauge their availability for specific flights, manage their schedules and relay critical information in times of crisis.
Being named an MITX finalist is the latest in a string of awards Varolii has won in recent months, including:
- Customer Interaction Solutions Magazine Product of the Year for Varolii Total Solutions™
- Unified Communications Magazine Unified Communications Product of the Year for the Varolii Interact™ automated communications platform
- TMCnet CRM Excellence Award for Varolii Total Customer Service
"We are honored to be recognized by such a prestigious organization as MITX," said Steve Zirkel, vice president and general manager of the Employee Communications division at Varolii. "We recognize the widespread havoc created when flights don’t take off as scheduled. Varolii Flight Team Management application is a perfect solution because it helps airlines ensure flights are fully staffed and on time. While the nation’s commercial airlines are not always known for on-time performance or a focus on customer satisfaction, airlines using Varolii technology are setting themselves apart and raising the bar for the rest of the industry."
The MITX Technology Awards recognize emergent and innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements. Entrants were able to submit their work under any of ten different consumer, enterprise, online and social media categories. Winners will be announced during a gala event at the Westin Copley Hotel on Tuesday, June 16.
