DHL Signs New Agreement with Leading Biotech Company
PLANTATION, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DHL, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company, today announced it has signed a new agreement with Beckman Coulter, a leading manufacturer and supplier of biomedical instrument systems, tests and supplies. DHL was selected to provide international express shipments to and from the United States, including cross-border shipments of clinical diagnostic equipment and supplies.
Based in Brea, CA, more than 200,000 of the Beckman Coulter's clinical diagnostic systems operate in laboratories around the world, supplying critical information for improving patient health and reducing the cost of care.
Beckman was looking for an international express delivery and logistics provider who could offer a door-to-door solution to the Company’s global distribution needs with particular attention to strengths in Canada, Mexico, and Central & South America; a commitment to a close and collaborative working relationship; and a superior level of service in ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements for the shipment of biomedical equipment and supplies.
Included under the new agreement are operational procedures specifically designed for Beckman Coulter to ensure time-critical cross-border shipments comply with U.S. federal and international regulatory requirements for biomedical supplies and equipment.
DHL was also chosen for its international shipment visibility and proof of delivery, and speed of cross-border express shipping services.
“As the specialists in international shipping, DHL is committed to meeting individual customer needs and to facilitating Customs clearance for time-critical cross-border shipments in an often complex international regulatory environment,” said Rick Stark, Vice President, Global Multinational Customers (GMNC) at DHL Express. “Through a fast, reliable global shipping infrastructure, a consultative approach to our customers, local points of contact with global reach, and intimate knowledge of local customs, DHL helps companies like Beckman Coulter succeed.”
