Operation Pizza Surge Ships 28,000 Pizzas to Our Troops Overseas

WHAT: |
Pizzas 4 Patriots, a non-profit organization, has teamed up with DHL Express and UNO to dish out 28,000 deep-dish pizzas to U.S. troops throughout Iraq and Afghanistan in time for the July 4 Independence Day celebration. |
| Following a press conference and brief ceremony, the shipment will be loaded onto a jet aircraft at DHL’s JFK Gateway on Friday, June 19 and headed for Bahrain, where it will be disseminated to a variety of military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan. | |

WHY: |
This record-breaking event, dubbed OPERATION PIZZA SURGE will be the world’s largest pizza party (according to the Guinness Book of World Records), and will give our troops a slice of home. |
