Pacer Announces Appointment of Experienced Executive Dennis Chantland to Board of Directors
CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACR), a leading North American freight transportation and logistics services provider, has announced the appointment of Dennis Chantland to the board of directors, effective June 1, 2009. Chantland’s career includes working in various senior executive roles with Fortune 500 companies.

His experience working for top retail, distribution, and manufacturing firms during his career will serve Pacer and our investors well as we focus on our key strategic initiatives,” said Michael E. Since starting his career at U.S. Steel Corporation, Mr. Chantland held senior executive positions in several divisions of Target Corporation, formerly Dayton Hudson Corporation, over a period of 17 years. He retired from Williams Sonoma Corporation in 1999. Since 2000, he has worked as an independent consultant providing financial, administrative, and operating management expertise to a variety of companies.
He has an MBA in Finance from College of St. Thomas and has served on the boards of the Arthritis Foundation of Boston and San Francisco, Skaggs Retail Institute at Brigham Young University, and Prophet Brand Strategy, a San Francisco based consulting firm.
