Acculynk Partners with AirTran Airways to Expand Online Payment Options
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acculynk, a leading technology provider with the first software-only service for Internet PIN debit, PaySecure, announced today that AirTran Airways, one of America's largest low-cost airlines, is now offering its customers the option to pay with PaySecure. PaySecure allows consumers to use PIN debit to pay for online purchases, right at the merchant checkout, with no enrollment or username/password required.
PaySecure aligns well with AirTran’s goal of offering customers an array of payment options that are secure, easy to use and widely available. Consumers who use PaySecure for their debit card purchase simply enter their PIN on PaySecure’s graphical PIN-pad, and the transaction is processed as PIN debit, leveraging AirTran’s existing infrastructure and processing relationship with Elavon, a leading global provider of payment processing solutions and the first processor in the industry to support PaySecure.
“We are pleased to offer passengers a quick, easy and secure way to pay for travel with their PIN debit card,” said Tad Hutcheson, AirTran Airways Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “We are excited to cater to these consumers with PaySecure and provide a more secure payment option that takes advantage of our great low fares to over 60 destinations.”
PaySecure offers consumers a simple checkout experience while providing merchants lower fees, reduced fraud and charge-backs, and incremental volume from security conscious consumers, those who prefer PIN debit and those with PIN-only debit cards.
“Extending this low-cost and secure payment option to our merchants aligns with growing consumer demand for alternative payment methods,” said Mike Passilla, Executive Vice President of Global Business Development at Elavon.
“As more consumers embrace debit in lieu of credit, the need to secure online debit card transactions and reduce fraud rises,” said Ashish Bahl, CEO of Acculynk. “PaySecure offers consumers and merchants a safer alternative to using a debit card without a PIN on the Internet. We are pleased that AirTran, a premier airline boasting such a highly loyal base of customers, has chosen to add PaySecure to its suite of payment options.”
