WILMINGTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATSG) said today that Peter Fox has retired as Chief Commercial Officer of ATSG, effective June 30, 2009.
Peter Fox, 60, formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Cargo Holdings International, Inc. (CHI), was appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Air Transport Services Group in March 2008, following ATSG’s acquisition of CHI in December 2007.
“After his long successful career as an air freight and logistics industry entrepreneur, Peter’s work over the last two years to bring the CHI companies he developed into the holding company now known as ATSG have positioned us for much greater success in the future,” ATSG President & CEO Joe Hete said. “ATSG is stronger, being a more diverse provider of air transport and related services to a much wider customer base as a result of Peter’s substantial contributions to our business.”
CHI, formed in 1999, was the parent of several related businesses, including Capital Cargo International Airlines, Inc. (CCIA), an all-cargo air carrier Fox founded in September 1995. Earlier, Fox was President and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Cargo International Airlines, Inc. (CCIA), an FAA certified Part 121 all-cargo air carrier he founded in September 1995. Fox founded and managed Capital Management Corporation, an owner/developer of ramp-side cargo warehouse facilities, and Capital Cargo, Ltd., an airfreight consolidation/warehousing company.
Fox will continue to support ATSG in an advisory capacity for the remainder of the year.
