Coldpack Certified by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for Compliance with ISO 9001:2008
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coldpack, an innovative insulated packaging solutions leader, today announced it has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards. The certification was awarded after Coldpack was determined to have met the comprehensive set of standards dictated by the ISO covering all aspects of the business: design, development, sales, manufacturing, and service.
“Recognition for meeting the ISO 9001:2008 standard validates Coldpack’s commitment to delivering the highest possible quality product,” explains Coldpack CEO, Etienne P. Snollaerts. “The designation substantiates the design and manufacture of Coldpack’s isothermal plastic packaging solutions as meeting and exceeding industry standards, and acknowledges the company’s unsurpassed quality management system.”
Coldpack was audited by National Quality Assurance, U.S.A. and found to be in compliance with the provisions of the ISO 9001:2008 standards. The company-wide audit evaluated the company's procedures for quality production, continuous improvement, performance to customer expectation, internal audits, contract review and purchasing.
The certification distinguishes Coldpack for consistently providing products that meet customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. In addition, it recognizes the company’s ability to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
This is yet another milestone for Coldpack, which recently became a certified International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) test lab at its San Diego, Calif., facility; and was recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an approved vaccine transportation provider, compliant with ISO 9001:2000 standards for manufacturing isothermal packaging for vaccine cold boxes and vaccine carriers. Coldpack’s AirLiner and the company’s other innovative products will be on display at Pack Expo, Oct. 5-7, 2009, in Las Vegas, at booth S5573.
