Mesaba Signs Sixteen-Year Dispatch Service Agreement with Rockwell Collins
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mesaba Airlines, a Northwest/Delta operator, has selected Rockwell Collins to provide avionics service and support for its fleet of 41 CRJ900 and 19 CRJ200 aircraft.
Under a sixteen-year Dispatch agreement, Rockwell Collins will provide Mesaba with avionics component repairs and inventory that is pre-positioned at multiple service locations.
“This partnership with Rockwell Collins will be instrumental to us as we look to maintain our performance metrics with their spare program,” said Bill Donohue, vice president, technical operations for Mesaba Airlines. “A leader in the industry, Rockwell Collins is responsible for a large part of our fleet, and we are pleased to be associated with them.”
The program also gives Mesaba the ability to accurately manage its available seat mile cost by consolidating asset inventory and component repairs in a price-per-flight hour agreement that guarantees repair turn-around times and availability of assets.
“We have a long established relationship with Mesaba and this contract reflects our ability to deliver value and cost savings to them,” said Ken Estelle, vice president and general manager, Technical Service Solutions for Rockwell Collins. “Our Dispatch programs provide customers with industry-leading turnaround times, complete service and support throughout the program life cycle and tailored plans to meet operational requirements that reduce the total cost of ownership.”
Rockwell Collins’ Dispatch program provides total life cycle support by ensuring guaranteed service levels with reduced operational risk at a predictive cost, by providing spares ownership, component repairs, logistical support and reliability upgrades.
