Republic Airways Reports July 2009 Traffic
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2009. The company generated 961.2 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 7.7% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 3.7%. Block hours were 60,558 in July 2009, an 6.8% decrease from July 2008. Load factor was 80.4% versus 77.4% in July 2008. A total of 1,840,930 passengers were carried during the month, a 4.9% increase from the same month last year.

Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Midwest Airlines, Mokulele Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, collectively “the airlines”. The airlines offer scheduled passenger service on approximately 1,400 flights daily to 98 cities in 39 states, Canada, Mexico and Jamaica under branded operations at Midwest Airlines and Mokulele Airlines, and through fixed-fee airline services agreements with five major U.S. airlines. The fixed-fee flights are operated under an airline partner brand, such as AmericanConnection, Continental Express, Delta Connection, United Express, and US Airways Express. The airlines currently employ over 6,000 aviation professionals and operate 228 aircraft.
