SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide construction, operations and maintenance services for environmental remediation projects at the FAA’s 5,000 acre William J. Under the terms of the contract, URS can compete for, or be assigned, task orders to provide a variety of services including construction, testing, and initial operations and maintenance of the environmental remedial action systems; long-term operations and maintenance of existing treatment systems; geographic information system support for ongoing as well as future remedial efforts; and monitoring and maintenance services for underground storage tank systems.
“URS’ successful re-compete of this contract is due in large part to the Company’s outstanding operations and safety record with the FAA, as well as the high-quality work we have furnished to the Technical Center since 1998,” said Tom Zarges, President of URS’ Washington Division. “We are pleased to have been awarded the opportunity to continue to serve the FAA at the world’s premier aviation research and development facility, which is dedicated to enhancing the National Airspace System.”
