PPG Begins Direct Sales of Replacement Cockpit Windows for CHALLENGER Jets

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PPG Industries’ (NYSE:PPG) aerospace transparencies group has received Parts Manufacturer Approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to begin sales to operators of replacement side cockpit windows for Bombardier Challenger 600 Series jets.

A stretched-acrylic side cockpit window for the Challenger 600 Series fleet is on exhibit at the PPG Aerospace booth 1881 at the National Business Aviation Association annual meeting and convention today through Thursday at the Orange County Convention Center here.

“Operators will benefit by being able to purchase replacement side cockpit windows as well as windshields directly from PPG,” said Jim Romano, PPG Aerospace global director, aftermarket transparencies sales.

PPG manufactures the heated side cockpit windows and glass-faced acrylic windshields for replacement applications in Sylmar, Calif.
