Northrop Grumman to Provide Air Traffic Management Systems for Doha International Airport, Qatar

LONDON, November 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation announced that its Europe-based subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by SELEX Systemi Integrati of Italy for the provision of an integrated air traffic management (ATM) systems package for the New Doha International Airport in Qatar.
"The integrated ATM package that we will be providing will help facilitate the handling of the heavy volume of flights that this new international airport will face in the years ahead," said Eldar Hauge, managing director for Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems in Norway. Under the contract Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems will supply and install a ground-to-air communications system; the instrument landing systems; a digital voice and radar recording system; and a surface movement guidance and control system, which includes surface movement radars and multi-lateration sensors integrated with SELEX's automation system.
Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, based in Peterborough, UK and in Oslo and Horten, Norway, supplies air traffic management systems for air-space operations worldwide.
