Winners Announced at UBM Aviation's ATEM Awards

LONDON, June 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Lufthansa Techknik was the major winner at this year's Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance (ATEM) Awards (), organized by UBM Aviation, winning two titles plus the Best All Round MRO Service Provider award. The winners were announced at a ceremony on the night of Tuesday 4 May, attended by more than 500 industry executives.
A total of 23 companies were shortlisted in 12 categories that identified the best in the commercial aviation aftermarket. Lufthansa Technik walked away with the most awards, having won three: Best MRO in Europe, Best Heavy Maintenance Provider and Best All Round MRO Service Provider. GA Telesis, also received multiple awards: Best Spare Parts Distributor or Stockist and ATE&M Editors Award (see below).
Other winners included Boeing, Oakenhurst Aircraft Services, HAECO, Delta TechOps, and A J Walter Aviation.
Jon Sharp, President & CEO, Engine Lease Finance Corp., which sponsored these awards, presented the trophies, and the Master of Ceremonies was the BBC's Aaron Heslehurst.
