Rohde & Schwarz and Topex Bundle Their Air Traffic Control Expertise

MUNICH, December 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Rohde & Schwarz has acquired a majority interest in the Romanian company Topex, a manufacturer of telecommunications equipment for government authorities and companies. The Topex portfolio includes voice communications systems for air traffic control (ATC). These systems ideally complement the Rohde & Schwarz ATC portfolio which mainly comprises radiocommunications solutions. The products of the Munich-based electronics company are already deployed in over 200 airports in more than 80 countries. In the future, Topex will trade under the name Rohde & Schwarz Topex SA.
