Daylight Solutions Releases Aries™ 2W Fixed-Wavelength Laser
Dépèche transmise le 22 janvier 2011 par Business Wire
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Daylight Solutions, Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced molecular detection, imaging, and high power illumination solutions, announces the latest addition to its fixed wavelength family of External Cavity quantum cascade Lasers (ECqcL™). The new Aries™ laser system operates at 4.6 µm and provides over 2 W of continuous wave or peak pulsed power. “This laser will see application in the fiber test, infrared countermeasures development, scene generation, damage testing, and free-space communications markets,” says Michael Radunsky, Product Marketing Manager for Daylight Solutions scientific products. “We developed this laser to specifically address those customers searching for medium-power mid-IR solutions.” The Aries system provides stable CW operation to 35 °C with near diffraction limited beam quality. The patented ECqcL™ design implements the latest round of chip performance enhancements, ensuring robust long-term reliability at these performance levels.
“We developed this laser to specifically address those customers searching for medium-power mid-IR solutions.”
The Aries line will expand to offer LWIR for beaconing and targeting applications later this year according to Dr. Radunsky. Daylight Solutions will be displaying the Aries™ and other 3-20 µm products at booth #2504 at Photonics West in San Francisco, 25-27 January, 2011.
