Dépèche transmise le 11 janvier 2011 par Business Wire
CHELMSFORD, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--e2v demonstrates its continued commitment as a strategic mil/aero semiconductor manufacturer and extends its quality standards to satisfy worldwide mil/aero customers.
“We see AS9100 certification as both essential and a way of clearly raising the bar for our continually expanding range of semiconductor lifecycle management capabilities”
e2v aerospace and defense today announced that its hi-rel semiconductor operation in Santa Clara (formerly QP Semiconductor) has fully satisfied the requirements for, and has achieved, AS9100 Rev. B and ISO 9001:2008 certification. This recognizes e2v as a supplier of semiconductor solutions, including lifecycle management services, to the demanding mil/aero markets.
e2v’s Santa Clara, CA facility joins its European semiconductor manufacturing site in Grenoble, France, in attaining this AS9100 certification for military and aerospace contractors. The company is now a certified provider of high-reliability semiconductor solutions and products on both continents.
AS9100 Rev. B is the quality management standard for the aerospace industry set by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). It is the most challenging certification for manufacturers in the mil/aero component supply sector, and adds nearly 100 additional requirements beyond the industry standard ISO 9001:2008 compliance. AS9100 ensures that organizations implement a comprehensive quality management system focused on areas directly affecting product safety and reliability.
“We see AS9100 certification as both essential and a way of clearly raising the bar for our continually expanding range of semiconductor lifecycle management capabilities,” said Dean Frazier, Corporate VP of Engineering for hi-rel semiconductor solutions at e2v aerospace and defense, CA. “Compliance to this high standard demonstrates our breadth of value as both a component manufacturer and supplier of products and value-added services to aerospace and defense contractors.”
