LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. The new office will be managed by Colin Bole, who has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Head of ILFC Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Colin is an accomplished and market-savvy leader in the aircraft leasing industry. His in-depth industry knowledge and familiarity with the EMEA markets will establish an immediate regional presence that will deliver increased customer relationships”
ILFC Chief Executive Officer, Henri Courpron commented, “Our business is certainly one of a global nature and our desire is to be closer to our customers so that we may be increasingly responsive in the support and strategies we offer. We intend to engage and build our business relationships in a way which is representative of the industry leader which we are.”
“Colin is an accomplished and market-savvy leader in the aircraft leasing industry. His in-depth industry knowledge and familiarity with the EMEA markets will establish an immediate regional presence that will deliver increased customer relationships,” Courpron added.
The new Amsterdam office will be established in the summer of 2011 and will complement the activities performed by the Los Angeles based ILFC team. The EMEA regions include over half of the current ILFC customer base and aircraft fleet placements. These regions are important to the growth of ILFC and the leasing industry in general as airline traffic grows in coming years.
“I am thrilled to join ILFC and engage the airline operators in Europe where the leasing industry and ILFC in particular have historically been essential to airline fleet planning flexibility. Additionally, I look forward to the opportunity to work with the impressive and growing airlines of the Middle East as well as those airlines of promise within Africa,” commented Bole.
“I joined ILFC because of its smart and visionary leadership, powerful resources, and market-leading image. The company has a new attitude and approach which will set the new standard for aircraft leasing in the future,” Bole said.
