CACI Awarded $20 Million Contract to Support Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced today that it has been awarded a $20 million task order contract to provide support services for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization’s (JIEDDO) Strategic Plans and Policy Division (J5) and Command, Control Communications and Computer Systems Division (J6). This task order includes both new and continuing business for CACI and is for one base year and three option years. The award follows CACI’s $24 million task order win in late 2010 for JIEDDO’s Operations (J3) and Training (J7) Divisions. Both awards fall under the $494 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity Comprehensive Support Services (CSS) contract that CACI won in August 2009.

JIEDDO leads the Department of Defense’s global efforts to counter improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The CSS contract provides mission support services to satisfy the counter-IED requirements of combat commanders and deliver rapid solutions designed to disrupt the enemy’s effectiveness. JIEDDO’s counter-IED strategy involves a three-pronged approach: to attack the network, to defeat the device, and to train the force. CACI’s JIEDDO CSS awards demonstrate its position as a premier, global counter-IED company. CACI continues to deliver successful services and solutions to the JIEDDO mission by leveraging its cross-discipline expertise in Integrated Security and Intelligence Solutions. This intra-company functional core competency allows CACI to address the vital, rapid innovation requirements and complex IT functionality of JIEDDO’s counter-IED strategy.

On this task order, CACI will support the J5 Division in policy and strategy development by coordinating and integrating the Department of Defense’s joint planning efforts with all Combatant Commands, the Armed Services, the Intelligence Community, interagency organizations, and public, private and international partners. CACI will provide the J6 Division with complex IT support services in specialty areas such as systems administration, enterprise architecture, project management, and information assurance. This work will help JIEDDO to implement an information technology and knowledge management strategy to rapidly deploy critical information on IED threats, ultimately advancing critical decision making, accountability and innovation.
