FlyteComm Partners with ARINC – to Extend Its Worldwide Mission Management Logistics Reach
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FlyteComm’s new service is aimed at Air Carriers, Charter Aircraft operators and Federal, State and Local First responders that need real time air and ground coordination during complex missions that cannot be monitored by the FAA ASDI service.
“We are proud to continue our commitment to our customer base to enhance real-time operational visibility through hassle-free technology upgrades”
FlyteComm’s partnership with ARINC offers FlyteComm’s users the ability to affordably track and communicate with any aircraft equipped with Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting Services (ACARS). “We are very pleased to add FlyteComm as a partner their services add complementary capabilities to our ACARS service that we provide to the world airlines,” said Jeannine Hendricks, Director of Business Development of ARINC. FlyteComm’s initial customer for this new service is an airline that has used FlyteComm’s FlyteTrax III™ service for many years. The ACARS logistics and flight tracking is important to them because it allows them to monitor the route of flight in the equatorial latitudes. These flight paths are outside the service area provided by the FAA ASDI service.
FlyteComm is also releasing its SkyNode™ service. SkyNode is the only battery powered, self-contained portable satellite tracking unit that has completed extensive General Aviation and Transport Carrier Aircraft flight tests and received FAA approval for in flight usage in all aircraft types. Its usage requires no modifications to the aircraft avionic suite, nor does it present any interference risk or flight safety concerns. This service addresses the requirement to track non-ACARS equipped Aircraft and vehicles operating in very remote locations that are only traceable via satellite links. FlyteComm’s SkyNode service has been in daily International and Domestic use aboard Federal Agency charter aircraft for the past 6 months and is now available to other potential FlyteComm customers. It is also in use as a convenient portable solution for ground based tracking of vehicles anywhere in the world, where permanent installation of GPS tracking in a vehicle is not practical and satellite communications is required.
“We are proud to continue our commitment to our customer base to enhance real-time operational visibility through hassle-free technology upgrades,” said Maurice Bailey, FlyteComm’s President and CEO.
Flight test results are available to approved aircraft operators via FlyteComm sales. To learn more, contact [email protected].
