Odyssey Logistics & Technology Continues Acquisition Program; Acquires Chemical Marketing Concepts
DANBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Making its third acquisition in less than a year, Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation (OL&T) announced today that it has acquired Chemical Marketing Concepts (CMC), a global leader in the field of outsourced sample fulfillment and logistics services. The purchase of CMC expands the OL&T portfolio into the rapid small order fulfillment and logistics sector.
“We’ve been very successful in fulfilling orders in a short amount of time, “added David Begin, CMC’s president and chief executive officer. “We ship more than 80 percent of our orders within 8 hours. Large orders start with small samples, and making that first impression is critical.”
“Sample fulfillment plays a crucial role in the development of new customers and applications for our clients,” said Bob Shellman, OL&T president and chief executive officer. “CMC offers a unique service that helps drive efficiency and rapid processing. This acquisition expands the OL&T portfolio, fueling growth and offering us new client-service opportunities.”
More than 65 major manufacturers partner with CMC to store, package and ship their product samples and small revenue orders from warehouses and distribution sites in the United States and Europe. CMC uses proprietary software systems for efficient order processing, labeling, material handling, inventory management and client reporting.
