PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Real Time Consulting, a division of Real Time Companies, is among expert companies to join the TASC, Inc. team that has been awarded a 10-year contract worth up to $827.8 million for National Airspace System (NAS) support services that will enable the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to accomplish a smooth and successful transition to Next Generation (NextGen), a satellite-based network that will replace the U.S. radar-based air traffic control system. The scope of the SE-2020 support services contract includes advanced systems engineering, investment and business case analysis, planning and forecasting, as well as business, financial and information management support services related to the development and the transformation of the national air transportation system.
“NextGen will transform the way Americans travel and airlines operate”
“NextGen will transform the way Americans travel and airlines operate,” says Ken Varga, Real Time Consulting CEO. “Real Time Consulting is extremely honored to be part of the talented TASC team.”
NextGen is slated for completion in 2025 and aims to enhance the overall passenger experience, improve airline efficiency and secure and defend the U.S. air transportation system from emerging threats. Through a modernized, near real-time air traffic management capability, NextGen will lead to fewer scheduling and weather delays and other air traffic snarls, reduced fuel consumption, lower carbon emissions and greater safety and security.
