WBT Innovation Marketplace Introduces FedMarketPlace and University Square for WBT2011
ARLINGTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a move to further support new innovation and build stronger bridges for university and federal lab licensing opportunities to industry scouts, WBT Innovation Marketplace is announcing the introduction of two new sessions for WBT2011. FedMarketPlace and UniversitySquare will enhance the already robust agenda of technology presentations, IP listings, and exhibiting deal flow activities by providing venues for content-rich sessions dedicated to open innovation best practices, industry presentations and networking opportunities.
“FedMarketPlace and UniversitySquare will draw participants with different perspectives who share the goal of commercializing technologies that have the potential to impact our quality of life.”
Participants in FedMarketPlace@WBT and UniversitySquare@WBT will have the opportunity to showcase their research and partnering capabilities to public and private sector dealmakers including Austin Ventures, AstraZeneca, Trident Capital, NIST, Boeing, NASA, Microsoft, Sevin Rosen Funds, Dow Chemical and many others. These sessions will also offer tech transfer professionals, researchers, supported companies and spin outs opportunities to connect with Fortune 1000 licensees and venture capital investors, showcase their technologies and collaborate with federal agencies and other universities.
“It is an exciting time as investors, licensees, start ups, and researchers explore innovative paths from lab to market,” says Amanda Radovic, Executive Director, WBT Innovation Marketplace. “FedMarketPlace and UniversitySquare will draw participants with different perspectives who share the goal of commercializing technologies that have the potential to impact our quality of life.”
The WBT is accepting reservations for exhibit space in UniversitySquare@WBT and FedMarketplace@WBT from universities and federal labs interested in promoting, connecting and licensing. Space is available on a first come first serve basis and participants are encouraged to reserve their space before February 25th, 2011.
