1st U.S. Wind Turbine Manufacturer to Receive the Coveted Made in USA Certification
PLYMOUTH, Mass. & BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Made in USA Certified, Inc. proudly announces that Massachusetts based, Aeronautica Windpower has successfully completed the Made in USA Certified proprietary audit process and is the first and only U.S. wind turbine manufacturer in the entire United States to be granted license to use the qualified Made in USA Certified Seal.
The United States is the world’s largest manufacturing economy, producing 21 percent of global manufactured products. Manufacturing supports an estimated 18.6 million jobs in the United States, and nearly 12 million Americans are employed directly in manufacturing. But, the hard truth is that too often U.S. manufacturers are at a distinct disadvantage competing globally. Manufacturers like Aeronautica Windpower look forward to working with the Obama Administration and Congress on energy policies that will help ensure sustained economic growth and energy security for the United States of America.
President and Co-Founder of Made in USA Certified, Inc., Julie Reiser stated, “President Obama is right- there is a huge opportunity in Energy. If the United States is going to strive to ‘Out Innovate’ and ‘Out Build’ the rest of the world- we need to be building and conducting the bulk of research and development domestically to serve as an export platform to the world. Aeronautica Windpower is building energy solutions that protect the environment and encourage energy independence while creating valuable jobs here in the United States of America- something that should be celebrated and supported. Energy Independence is not a luxury but, an issue of our countries own self reliance, national security and global competitiveness — Aeronautica Windpower is one company moving us in that direction.”
